I’ve had a lot of experience in the fields on SEO and traffic building and around a month ago I was a complete noob to the blogging realm to. Since then though I’ve stuck to my guns and made the point to myself to stick to my whits and keep on at it, it is paying off. If you check the calendar it bolds the days that I have been posting and the days that I haven’t. Now last month when there were only a few posts the traffic hit 41 unique visitors for the whole month and to be honest most new websites don’t even hit that.

It take about a month for the search engines to even register the new website in their indexes to make it searchable and appear on their page ranks. This is a major downfall for a lot of websites. And even more so for any new developers who are more into the design and development side of making a website rather than the search engine optimization or marketing of it.

There has to be a lot of initial work done to make a successful website from scratch. For instance when a (search engine optimized) know how person develops a website they keep SEO in mind from the ground up. Making sure that key words and descriptions are added in at the right places. They know what search engines want and they give them exactly what they want.

With this site it’s a bit of a different story as it’s developed on a wordpress blogging platform. Now how blogging works in the sense of marketing and SEO is that it uses pings to attract search engines to it when fresh content is updated each and every time. Search databases like technorati display the updated post information within minutes of the post hitting the site.

My traffic so far at 6AM in the morning on the 24th may with 8 full days of the month left has reached 200 unique visitors. Yes I know this is a measly number to many of you out there but to me it means over 200 different people have looked at my work and that means a lot to me. I still yet know from stats and figures I’ve had in the past that there is going to be a time when I’m seeing 10,000 or more visitors a day which is quite possible from what I’ve seen being done.

Traffic is a big issue for a lot of people who make websites it’s a major motivator to make sites that will encourage large numbers of constant traffic to them. Mainly for advertising purposes because the more people you can get to look at a product the more chance you have of selling it. Its amazing how some sites can attract literally millions of visits from millions of people every day. Youtube has mastered a fine art in doing this and so did its new father Google.

As for my site I’m going to keep posting site statistics along with a short info burst like this one. To see how the site is progressing and It’s you site to so you should know in my opinion of how its doing. Drop me a comment, tell me any ideas you may that can helps sites get more traffic, for Free obviously.
